Will it actually be warm enough in a Scottish winter?
Every Luminaire garden room is built with full structural insulation — walls, floor, and roof — not the thin lining you find in off-the-shelf summerhouses. Our rooms are in year-round daily use across Aberdeenshire, including through February.
Do I need planning permission?
Most garden rooms fall within permitted development rights and don't require a planning application. We'll confirm this for your specific property during the free consultation — and if permission is needed, we'll tell you straight rather than waste your time.
How long does the build take?
Once your design is agreed and materials are ordered, most builds are completed within 2 to 3 weeks. We'll give you a clear timeline before any work begins — no vague estimates, no moving goalposts.
How much does a garden room cost?
Most of our builds come in between £7,000 and £25,000 depending on size, spec, and finish. A compact home office at the lower end, a fully fitted gym or simulator room at the higher.
