Every now and again, when the workshop has a quiet spell, our team makes bird feeders.
They are handmade — properly handmade, the way we make everything else. Mortise and tenon joints. Solid timber. Finished to the same standard we would hold a window frame or a garden room to. They take us longer to make than they should. We do not mind.
Why Grateful Hearts Fraserburgh?
Every feeder we sell goes towards supporting Grateful Hearts Fraserburgh, a local charity doing work we believe in right here in our community. We are not going to dress it up as a campaign or a cause — it is simply something we chose to do, and we will keep doing it as long as people keep buying them.
We are joiners. We make things from wood for a living. So when we wanted to give something back, this was the most honest way we knew how.
What this says about how we work
We should say, plainly, that this is not what pays our bills. Our business is built on bespoke joinery projects — garden rooms, bathrooms, windows, doors, and media walls for homeowners across the North East of Scotland. Projects that take months to plan and build. Work we are genuinely proud of.
But who we are in the workshop on a quiet Tuesday — that is who we are on every job, too. The feeders exist because that is the kind of team we are.
